How is the screen in sunlight?

I'm pretty much set on getting the M8 (got my finger on the button), but want to know if the screen is as hard to see in the sunlight as the Thunderbolt. Love my Bolt but she has recently developed dead spots on the screen.

Better than others I've tried but still not visible for me in the intense Arizona sun. I don't think any others are going to be significantly better though and the reviews made the M8 out be great in the sun.

Thanks. It's not a deal breaker, but a pain in the bum nonetheless.

It's a lot better than those Amoled displays. Still rough, like any phone, in direct sunlight.

I had a Thunderbolt, definitely much better in sunlight. It's pretty good, I keep mine a little more than half brightness, and I'm able to see most everything unless it's like extremely bright, should-be-wearing-sunglasses bright, and you're right out in the open. But half brightness on the One is still like full brightness for the Thunderbolt lol.

I had the og Evo and it was ok outdoors and then I got the Evo lte and it was great. This is just as good, if not better. My brother's have Samsungs and they aren't half as good outdoors.
