How is your battery life like on your edge?

16 hours on, 4 hours screen is typical which ends at around 15-20% battery. Don't use a smartwatch of any kind

I'll have to check my total on time again today, I'm charging mine now, however my screen time was 4 1/2 hours with 46% battery left.

Great battery life at home turf, but when I go on the road via airports in different cities well let me say don't forget your charger or an outboard battery!!!

Easily get anything between 4-6 hours SOT depending on what I'm doing. Phones usually on for around 14-15 hours before I put it on charge at bedtime.

Mine lasts all day with moderate usage. Heavy usage requires a charge at about 5pm.

Average 4 to 5 hours screen on time with my best being over 6 hours. Average 15+hours on a charge. Best I've owned.

Mine has been pretty abysmal for the past two weeks or so. It won't get me through a nine hour work day with barely any use. I tried every suggestion

You must be doing constant Instagram syncing. That's where, by far, most of your usage is.
I have Instagram, but I only log in when I want to look at something or upload.
It appears to be a real battery user, especially if you're syncing constantly.

That's the issue though. I'm not on Instagram all that much. It just seems to always be running in the background. And if its not Instagram, then its chrome doing the same drain.

You have to log out of Instagram when you're not using it.
I always log out when I'm not using it and on the days that I don't use it I show no CPU or battery use from it at all.
And I never use Chrome. If Chrome is showing battery usage when you have not used Chrome, then you have left it open with a website running in the background.

Battery life has sucked even after I went to drastic measures to make it good. I noticed that if I move about town, the phone consumes enormous amounts of battery. It gets hot and doesn't seem to show what is really using the battery. I don't understand this. I'm sure it is google now, but I've turned that off before and it didn't seem to help. I've even turned of location services and it didn't help much.

Most recently I have swapped out the launcher and now run Nova. With the samsung launcher, it was taking 2-5 seconds for the camera to launch from the double tap of the home button. With Nova, it is as fast as can be.

I never believed just how awful samsung's launcher could be, but it lives up to the hype of being horrible in just about every way.

I'll let you know how it goes ditching TouchWiz, but so far so good. I never used any of the touchwiz features anyways, so they really weren't needed. The screen is too small to do split screen or floating windows. TouchWiz must consume every ounce of memory in the phone!
