How long does a non-removable battery last for (with daily charging)?

Talking about wear and tear on the battery not the phone. I'm staying with the Note 4 as it's the only phone yet that still has the features I want/value (in order of importance); user-replaceable battery, large screen, S Pen and soft touch type back (better feel and grip since I use it naked). Looks like that will be the case for the foreseeable future thus why I recently picked up a second new Note 4 as insurance.

How often do you replace your batteries? I just want to understand how much stress you are applying to the batteries to need so many spares.

I really don't buy the charge at 35% rule, I never allow my Nexus 6 to go below 15% and never had any degrade, it will be 2 years in January, I had the same principal with my Galaxy S4 and never had battery issues with that either.

My partner is terrible and lets her S4 drain to the end, but still manages to get around a full day before charging and that device gets some serious abuse.

I drain all my devices to about 6% or so and that's when the phone dies on me lol... I charge when needed and have yet to have an issue. Note5 and s7 owner here... no issues on either model..

Well... 35 is just a conservative number... In general, the 'sweet spot' in these batteries are 40 to 80... that's the meaty part of the battery's charge density. But its a matter or scale... its not like once you hit 20%, the things starts writhing in pain. I guess the best way to describe it is like an oil change for a car... if you go a little long every once and awhile, it shouldn't do much, if any harm, but if you routinely run that thing WAY past the interval, then things might... not will... might go sideways on your quicker than it should.
