How long does it take for adaptive battery to show a list?

I've had adaptive battery on for three weeks and I still don't have a list of apps that I can choose to not work under adaptive battery or not, how long does it take? Thank you.

I'm not sure if there is a "list", it's just Android doing it's thing in the background for you. If you mean which apps aren't optimized by battery optimization I think that's still visible as a list.

Yes that's what I mean, I go into adaptive battery and there isn't a list there if for instance I want it to ignore an app in optimization.

Battery Optimization is in a whole different section of the Settings menu

Go to settings and click on the magnifying glass next to your account photo on the top right. Type in battery optimisation in the search bar.

I think it is under device care if you want to go the long way round.

No problem. No need to feel silly, learning new things keeps life interesting.

The way I understand it, Adaptive battery is the process of Android learning your usage patterns and allowing commonly used apps to remain in memory, and apps you don't use often close. It all happens automatically in the background and Android is always adapting to your usage to help give the best battery life. Battery optimization limits what apps can do in the background by placing them in a size mode, it can by turned On or Off for specific apps.
