How long for Verizon to release a 32GB Galaxy S5?

Key being the carriers should offer the 32gb as an option rather than not. Let consumers choose rather than establish a self fulfilled trend. Of Course the 32gb will sell a lot fewer if only a few carriers offer larger sizes and the option is out of the launch window (like the S4). Verizon did not even offer the 32gb in stores.

The S3 was when apps were smaller and less large data with apps and was not pushed for sale focus at stores.

For those talking about how easy it is to move apps to the SD card I agree it's easy to do it, but doesn't seem easy to live with it.

I did it on my s5 and started having weird issues immediately. App shortcuts on home screens disappeared, I figured because the app was moved...no problem, redid the shortcuts...they disappeared again...redid avain, disappears again.

I finally gave up factory reset and left the in internal memory. Once my apps are installed the only memory I'm adding storage for is the camera and that's SD only, so I'm fine with seeing 8gb free after installing my apps.

Buy, being that I bought it at BB as a premium silver member I have 45 days to exchange and if the 32gb hits in that time frame I'll swap.

Still waiting...........................:p..........getting close to caving in and purchasing the 16GB :'(

I will happily skip the S5 if they don't offer it in 32gb. I'm sure there will be another company who will offer me what I like in my device and get my hard earned money!

I'm not going to tell anyone what they need or should have, but for those of you still on the fence I'll relate my own use. I have the 16 GB S5, I've got two fairly large games installed (Heroes of Dragon Age and Star Wars Assault Team) and around 5 or 6 smaller word games. I've also got around a dozen other apps installed (not to mention the Samsung and VZ bloatware) and I've got 7.8 GB free. I don't store music or videos on the phone and my pictures get stored on the SD card then uploaded to Dropbox as soon as I'm on wifi.

I'm a heavier smart phone user (partially for business since I'm self employed and partially because I love technology) than anyone I know in my age group and my stepsons who are in their 20's probably don't use their phones as heavily as I do (except for music and dating).

I'm also still using an 8 GB OG Nexus 7 tablet and have never had less than 3 GB free.

I think I'll be fine with the 16 GB version.

After all my apps that I want on it I still have 8.7GB left over. I have my podcast app store the podcasts (4GB) on the SD and all videos and pictures go onto my 64 GB card. If you are not a phone gamer like myself I think most will be fine. I do understand that an option would be better but I'm cruzin just fine with my 16 :D

Yeah I'm still waiting for the 32 GB version, this is just annoying with 4.4.2 being unable to allow you to store app data on it.

I was going to wait for the 32GB model but just couldn't. Bought a 32GB SD card since I'm impatient, that should be enough for me. Only thing I really have on my phone is photos.

All depends on the apps you use. My 32gb S4 has 7gb free. Fortunately the S4 still rocks, so fine with waiting.

If the M8 was shorter, had a better camera (sans the depth camera) and kept the capacitive buttons the M7 has, I would have considered that.

I think we will see a revised S5 later in the year with the 805 chip, so perhaps better to wait anyway. Thanks S4 for making it "easier" to wait.

That assumes a newer model has 32gb....

You living OK with only 16GB of internal storage?

Yes, I am doing fine with the 16gb. Not to say I wouldn't like a 32gb but I'm not one to install huge games and such.

I'm pretty happy with it. Just give it a whirl - you have at least 14 days with it.

I'm doing just fine with 16gb too. I have all the apps I need installed with 8gb to spare.

I might just use the 16 GB microSD which came with my Razr Maxx on a 16 GB S5. If my Razr didn't come with a free microSD I would have used up almost all of the 16 GB internal storage because of my music and pictures. That's why I was planning on waiting for the 32 GB S5. But if Verizon or any carrier for that matter doesn't announce a 32 GB version by the end of next month I'm getting the 16 GB S5.

You would still be in your return window.

I bought mine at best buys absurd full retail of $749 so I could use my elite plus 45 day return window (that's what you get best buy for charging $150 more for NO REASON)...

So once the 32gb hits, I'll pick it up from Verizon and return this one to best buy and get my $750 back.

why didn't you pricematch?

I am not as sure a 32gb is coming to Verizon like I was with the S4. Bad vibe since not a peep from corporate reps this time.
