How long should it take for gmail calendar to sync with iCal?

In iCal I set it up so my name@gmail.com calendar would sync. I did this 2 hours ago and nothing has synced over yet. It is set up for 2 way syncing but nothing yet. How long should it take? I have it set up for every 15 min. Thanks.

My calendar syncs in the amount of time it takes me to look away from the computer and pick up my phone to check it or vice versa if updating from my phone.
