I know it isn't even out yet, but how long until you think there will be an even newer android sprint phone? I'm eligible for update now and am wondering if I should get the EVO, or just hang out for a bit and see what comes later this year? I don't want to be like the few who got the hero, then were blindsided with this beast! That EVO is so tempting...

There will always be something new and better around the corner. The evo is the BEST bet you've got when it comes to buying a future-proof phone right now (aside from apple's yearly iPhone upgrades). There's very few specs that can be upgraded. I'm sure the next android superphone will have a faster processor, and maybe even a higher-res screen to compete the "rumored" iPhone 4G's resolution bump. In the tech world you've gotta just buy what you like when it's available and have no regrets. The Evo is a pretty safe phone in that regards. I wouldn't worry too much.

That's just how the business is nowadays. The HTC incredible is only going to be the best for the next month and a week, then the EVO, then there will be something else the next couple of months or so.

But as Shadnic said, the EVO is the best bet for right now as being very well spec'd for a while (probably a long while) and the new phones that come out will just have maybe a faster processor, more ram / rom and different screens.

Wasn't the HD2 released in Europe about a year ago?
I think this may be the flagship device for quite awhile at least in the US. All the current HTC phones are very similar in specs but the screen will make this stand out for a long time. Unless you find somebody with a Dell Streak (:

So true.

I learned a long time ago that no matter what you get, there will be something newer, sleeker, faster in a few weeks or months. Keeps businesses running and keeps us broke...:D
