How long will the phone last if dropped in snow and unable to find?

I did not realize that my phone fell out of my pocket this morning and I tried to find it but I am unable to at this moment. I have a GALAXY S5 ACTIVE and it was working for a brief moment while I was trying to find it, but my blue tooth lost connection. Then unfortunately I had my data shut off before I was able to use the security to find my phone and wipe my data if need be.

It could last as long as the battery is alive or it can shut sooner if moisture starts to seep into the device. Either way, I'd suggest checking on it periodically to see if it was found and pops-up online for you to factory reset it.
