Hi everyone, and please forgive me if I've created a duplicate thread. I'm new and gangly.

How many apps have you installed on your M8? I'm curious. I have extreme paranoia when it comes to installing applications, and only have 4 myself. Guess I'm looking for some support.

I have OI File Manager, Pandora, HD Wallpapers and Flipboard....

New and gangly is quite alright around these parts.

To me, I don't really limit myself on howany apps or what kind of apps I install. As long as I use them after downloading, they aren't suckimg my battery like crazy, and not doing harm to my device.

Keep in mind, the more apps you have, more likely your battery is going to take a toll.

56 I think not counting the stuff that came installed. Around 100 if you could those too.

96 counting the ones that came on the phone. No lag at all. I just got the phone Saturday so I have not really set it up the way I like it yet. I may add and/or remove sine apps still.

My phones have always run worse after loading up on apps so I only keep about 20, and thy are mostly must-haves for work.

That's exactly where my worry my stems from. I overloaded my GS3 and it just never felt the same. My IP5 had tons of apps, but I didn't experience any lag, so I attributed the issue to Android and the various UIs. I don't know if I'll be able to bring myself to over 10. I'm crazy ;-)

Honestly, my nexus 5 and HTC one m8 have 97 and 72 apps installed respectively. Same performance as day one. Neither phones skip a beat. Battery takes a bit of a toll but not performance. Can't say the same about all phones that I've owned, but not those two.

I just counted I have 106 apps and I'm using Nova Launcher as my main launcher.

Yea that's one of the main things I love about iPhone 5s and doesn't lag and when I had a 5s I had over 40 apps and everything still worked good.

I just got an M8 yesterday. My last phone, a Galaxy Nexus, had over 300 apps with no lag. It had a custom ROM and kernel and was highly tuned by me.

But I'm being selective about which apps to load on to the M8. After a short burn in, this phone will get a brain transplant.
