I'm currently restoring a recovery,, taking a while so I'll post a question...

How many back-up images do you guys have at any one time..?

My current back-up clocks in at around 1.5g... the older versions I just took off the computer because I just like memory...

Second part of the question is...

So, is it a good idea to have the stock factory image in there all the time just in case?

Third question, I guess there isn't a way; but can you put an back-up image zip file while in recovery mode?

thanks..

looks like, it's booting back up... tried to flash Jelly Belly 4.0 but got caught in a boot-loop... pushing 1:30am here... gotta hit the bed and try again...

1. I usually have 2 ROM backups now that I am on JellyBean, AOKP and CM10. Sometimes I have 3 on there total but never anything more than that. Not for storage sake but just because I never found a need to have more than that.

2. Probably a good idea lol but I never did. I don't believer that its 100% necessary because in recovery if you do the full wiping process (data/cache/davlik/system) you basically are back on a clean stock OS. I could be wrong but I never found the need to do it. If it makes you feel a little better about flashing then go for it.

3. Not really sure what you mean by this one... can you explain further?

#1 I think i have 4 right now. Not because i need them, just lazy and have not cleaned out my older ones. all you really need is one backup, a solid working ROM that you like. as a just in case.

#2 Not a bad idea, but it is easy to flash back to stock, so i have not worried about it.

#3 There really is no reason to back up a zip. When you wipe data for a new ROM, your virtual SD card is untouched so any .ZIP files you have will be where you left them.

The Third Question:

You are in recovery, but there is a backup image that you didn't transfer over from the PC, or you don't have an zip file at all. Are you royally screwed or is there still a way to get a file onto the SD card in recovery mode?

adb push "name of file" /sdcard/"name of file"
