Where are the other mics?Have you made sure the primary mic (at the bottom of the phone) is completely clear of debris? Use a can of compressed air to blow it out.
Do you recall any fluids splashing onto the bottom speaker grille?
I know it was a problem with the 1st gen Pixels, but is it also cropping up for the Pixel 3 line?
Call Google to ask for a warranty replacement. This is a hardware defect that plagued quite a few Pixel 3/XL users.
Just wanted to let you know, had to factory reset the phone and all works well. Probably better on some things
