how many more months will the Note 5 remain the "flagship" Samsung phone?

I think the OP needs to decide what is meant by "flagship" for this particular question.

Most expensive?
Latest model?
Screen size?
Best seller for this size of screen?
Best seller?
Fastest seller?
A combination of any of the above?

If your buying a device based on whether it's a "flagship" or not, you're doing it wrong. Get it because it's the device that fits your needs.

problem solved... bought it today because Verizon corporate store was offering the Note 5 for $400 off... it was an offer that I could not refuse. final price $469(to be split into 24 payment). :)

Why does everyone think it matter if an OEM releases multiple phones per year? I argue this with people about the Sony Xperia line all the time. So what if they didn't do a new phone every 6 months and just launched one phone every Spring? Would you buy it if you normally upgrade once/year? Yes. So what's forcing you to buy the 6 month variant if they do 2 phones/year? All you have to do is say "hmm nice phone but I'm not going to upgrade until a year has passed and I'll get that one". I just don't get why that's such a difficult concept.

so what you're saying is that I should buy a Ferrari that can do 0-60mph in 3 seconds flat...

when Ferrari releases a new model that can do 0-60mph in 2.9 second, I should but that one as well? :D

that's actually close to what most Ferrari owners do... but they don't have Jump On Demand that lets them trade in their old ferrari 3 times a year for free for a new one. #Uncarrier

They can always add a supercharger to the engine? :) I did just that on my old Mercedes E-wagon a few years ago. Liked the car a lot and didn't want to trade it it, but 0-60mph takes a leisurely 7 seconds.(with just me driving and no cargo) I had a supercharger kit installed for only $4700. Combined with a new exhaust system, it shaved a little over 2 seconds off the 0-60mph time and I can easily reach 60mph in under 5 seconds while sipping my morning cup of coffee. :)

New technology is great, but sometimes last years model works good too. I bought a note 4 for 1.00 about 2 months ago.

The answer is.... how ever many months until the next Note arrives. So I'd estimate 9-10 months. It was the Note 4 for me last year...even after everything else came out (except for the lollipop update).

And there's nothing like having the pen as an option, especially with writing on a locked screen now.

Of course not...you must make sure they remove functionality (remove the passenger seat?) and seal the hood first!
