I was trying to get an idea of how many backups you guys keep and if you keep them on your sd card.

I had 4 backups on my sd this morning but now I only have 3.

Fresh 3.4
Valpaek
Cyanogen 6.1

I used to keep all my nandroid backups (included pre-Froyo) on my computer at home and only my last on the SD card in case I ever needed to restore on the go. I now keep it down to the last 3-4 backups on the computer and try to create a new one every few weeks or so.
I don't switch ROMs (only use stock rooted) but if I did I would probably keep a few recent backups on each one too

at one point, 9. Put them on the computer, and cleaned the card.

I only keep 2-3 depending on what I am doing. They take up a ton of space and that 8GB tends to go pretty quick.

I have one of a stock rooted image.
One of the current fresh ROM I am on and seems to always work well and my go back to image.
Then sometimes I will do another of a rom I am trying out after I config and stock kernal for when I am tinkering with new roms and kernals. I usually delete it though after I realize Fresh usually works better and always end up back

3,
One for CM (wiimote)
IncDoes Port of the Desire HD for Evo,
Fresh 3.4 (current)

I just keep 2 really, AC2.7 with all my apps and settings and CM6.1, as I go through and change different things and create different back ups I erase the older ones after a few days or whenever I remember to keep the space available, though I don't have a space issue.

I been thinking about getting rls4 threw rom manager. What's the best kernel to use when gettin it from rom manager? I'm on my phone alot, I mean "alot". I need better battery life will want of these kernels do that for me if I get the rls4 rom?

To be 100% honest, I get great battery life with the stock kernel that comes preloaded with RLS4 (I think its the HTC #17 too lazy to pick up the phone and check XD). I used to fiddle around with kernels a lot, overclock, set profiles up in SetCPU and finally came to the conclusion that apart from the Linpack/Quadrant scores I wasn't really noticing any real world results.

The stock kernel is plenty fast and a lot of times the trial and error, for me at least, of trying to find the right kernel sucks when compared to the marginal performance benefit I got.

I say flash RLS4 (it is great) and just leave the stock HTC kernel on there. If you do want to flash one of the Myn recommended ones you can download them directly through warm updater so I wouldn't bother fooling around else where to find ones (unless you want to trial and error it).

2 is my #. Keep a stock backup and try to keep a current backup for vaelpak 2.3. I usually forget to backup my apps to TB, thats why for the constant backups
