I don't know, don't you mean S6 VS iPhone 6S? (both unannounced, but expected phones for 2015)

I tried the iPhone 6 plus for two weeks and was bored to death. No iphone for me as well.

I am waiting to see what the S6 is going to actually be when it is announced to make my decision. I flip back and forth every 2 years between android and iPhone. I currently have the iPhone 5 and have zero problems with it other then battery life has gotten shorter. After 2 1/2 years its time for a new phone but after going through all the topics and forums i see that android is still plagued with the same issues that I experienced with my last android phone. Ugh so frustrating because i like customizing with android but being a user of both (I also have an android tablet and an iPad) I don't know if i can give up the stability of ios. I hope the S6 is amazing and makes my decision easier to make.

I see what you mean but android to me has gotten better since I left Samsung. I use both an iPhone 6 plus and a droid turbo and the Turbo on KitKat 4.4 is more stable than my 6 plus ios 8.1.3. I have never had a system crash or an app crash (force close) in the 2 months I've had my Turbo, safari crashed twice yesterday on my 6 plus. I'm not impressed with ios 8.1.3 and I hope apple turns it around but ios8 has been a disaster since it rolled out so at this point I'm not real optimistic. The iPhone is a pleasure to use but it has its problems and quirks just like Android, they're just a different variety.

You raise another good point to me, is Samsung really just the issue? I see more complaints with them than I do with others like LG, HTC and Motorola. I know people mostly dislike touchwiz compared to the other skins on other brands which is another minus to Samsung it seems. I am a little surprised to hear that you have so much unsuitability with your 6 plus on 8.1.3, I really have no issues at all. I would keep my iPhone 5 if it wasn't for the battery life and the fact I want a slightly larger screen. Oh well i guess i have to do even more comparison reading! lol

I refuse to go back to a phone with a fixed storage capacity and without expansion. It doesn't matter if it's made by Motorola, LG, Samsung, a Google Nexus device, or an iPhone. I'm OK with iOS and don't really have any issues with it aside from the lack of widgets (Apple's implementation isn't what I would consider "real" widgets) but I am not going to shell out $400 for a phone, on-contract, just to get enough storage to hold the amount of music and photos that I want especially when a 128GB microSDXC card costs less than $100 now. I spent the same amount of money on my S5 with a 128GB card as someone who bought a regular 64GB iPhone 6, 32GB Nexus 6, and 32GB Moto X (2014).

Touchwiz would in my opinion be a great skin if Samsung would tone it down and optimize it a bit better. It has a feature set that is unmatched by anyone, unfortunately it is a resource hog and that is where the stutters and a few other issues come from. Safari and Chrome I have issues with on the iPhone other than that it is a solid device. I used it last week and pulled it off the charger Monday morning around 6:30 a.m. and put it back on the charger Thursday afternoon. You don't get any better than that and that is where Apple shines, optimizing the software with the hardware. Both great platforms that have their bugs and that will never change. There will always be Android features we want on Apple devices and Apple features we want on Android devices. We can try to find that perfect device for us, but it will never happen. Not for me anyway.

Where are you people going that causes your Android to crash all the time? I have an antiquated GS3 that is as reliable as heck, frustratingly laggy though.

I have an upgrade in May. It's between the iPhone 6 and the S6. Here are my thoughts:

iPhone Good...

App layout and consistency
Timely updates
Amount of accessories available
Fluid OS
Touch ID and Apple Pay

iPhone Bad...

The abomination called iTunes
Girly
Overall appearance
Concern over battery life
Not a true 1080p full HD screen

S6 Good....(supposedly)

Build quality
Edge panel(s)
Can use existing Micro-usb
Google services
Camera

S6 Bad...(supposedly)

TouchWiz
Not timely OS updates
Will Android Sys eat my battery?
No microSD
No expandable/removable battery

Everything is a tradeoff .... I have the S5 and I genuinely like it. Love the screen. Love the camera. Like that I can save all my pics and videos to the SD. I will be watching in anticipation for the S6.

S6 vs M9 for me. Waiting to touch & feel both. Touchwiz vs Sense is not a big factor for my next device. Of course, my opinion on that could change after 2 years use, but going in, I don't care.

My focus will be on simultaneous voice/data while on the road, which the Turbo failed at, otherwise I might have ended up with one of them.

Apple is not a consideration. I'm used to Android and will stick with Android until another standards-based, open OS comes along.
