How many will be upgrading from the Note 3 to the Note 4?

Re: How many will be upgrading from the note 3 to the note 4?

I agree. This is the first time I've EVER had any trouble with ANY of my Verizon phones, and since switching from Blackberry, I've always had Samsung phones. But sometimes this Note 3 makes me want to throw it out the window!!

why not ask Verizon to replace the phone which should still be under warranty? skip to a level 2 tech support and they should swap out the phone within 2 days.

I did already and they were very happy to swap it out. It helped for a little while, but after a few weeks, the same thing started happening. I even then did a reset of my phone, thinking maybe something I installed was screwing with it. Nope...same thing!

I will be. I had the Note 2, note 3 and will be getting the Note 4.

I'm rocking my bad boy note 3 now and love it I don't think I'll upgrade cause the note 4 is not that big of a jump on my 3 now on the other hand if I was rocking a note 1 are 2 it would be a no Brainer I'd get the 4 bit who knows once the 4 is in the stores and I get my hands on it I might change my mind

I don't know about that. I have a 10-year-old Motorola V60i flip phone on one of my basic lines. It has TEN TIMES better call quality and reception than any of my current Verizon smartphones(Galaxy S5, Note 3, HTC One M8, Moto X) These old "vintage" phone work even in remote areas of Upstate New York. I wonder if it's because the V60i has an external antenna. What's more, when I connect the V60i to the car's hardwired kit with 5-watt booster and outside antenna, the reception goes from great to ridiculously-excellent. Unfortunately, the V60i is only for voice... no data.

in rural areas, when my Galaxy Note 3 shows 1 or no bars, my V60i(connected to 5-watt booster) can get all 5 bars. (which is why I'm really afraid when the day comes when Verizon turns off CDMA)

my hardwired kit is like this one, except I increased the power from 3 watts to 5 watts:

Your v60i still works?!!! I had a v60i issued by my job that barely lasted two years. I had a v60c for my personal phone that was absolutely horrible, especially in terms of reception. That one lasted only one year.

To answer the OP's question, I will upgrade from a Note 3 to a Note 4, but I just have to add the Note Edge when it comes out later. :)

Re: How many will be upgrading from the note 3 to the note 4?

I bought the Note3 outright only recently.

My current monthly PAYG expenditure is really small so signing up to a contract to get the 4 isn't really worth it to me.

Would like the image stabilization and better S pen interface though.

Wilson Antenna makes the same boosters for GSM phones.

Anyone has a specific release date for the Note 4. Can't believe apple and the iPhone 6 will be releasing theirs before the note 4.

Sadly not yet. Just "October".

It's sad because Samsung announced the note 4 before apple announced the iPhone 6, so got an early jump, but pre-orders for the iPhone 6 starts Friday 9/12/14

Why? The timing is very similar to the 2012 and 2013 release schedules for both companies.
