I have been using my MT for about 5 days now and have had some minor problems like slow gps
and once in a while have to retouch screen to respond but from my limited knowledge of android
devices ( I have owned two Archos tablets A70 and A43 and own LG optimus ) all the problems I
have encounter seem to be more of a firmware issue then hardware. Because of some lag using
the touchscreen I installed Launcher Pro and the screen is 100 times more reponsive. Also re-
garding cell and 3g signal I think there is definitely more of an issue with Virgin (Sprint) network.
today I was in a location where evdo signal measured -47db the best signal i have ever seen
yet using the browser was painfully slow. Of course this was at 2:00 in the afternoon. At
night with a much weaker signal in my house around -78 db the phone is extremely fast. I am
even streaming espn right now 9:04pm. with no buffering over 3g. So I think I will deal with minor
problems and hope for software update. My only concern is how much ram is MT suppose to
have. Every review, every forum and evry spec sheet I've read list ram at 512Mb. But I have 3 different
apps installed and all three measure ram at 349Mb. Can anyone tell me if they ave a MT with
512Mb ram. Thanks and its nice to be a member Bob.

the other 150mb of ram or so is reserved for the phone system itself, it's normal with the MT and all other phones

What I see with apps like super box pro and phone tester is total ram ihstalled is 349mb. Of course
about 150mb is always being in use that is why my phone shows 200mb free with no apps running
it should show 350mb free. I really think we have been mislead on the specs. If anyone has installed
a memory app that shows 512mb ram installed I'd be interested because I would exchange my phone
It would interesting to see if different phones have different ram installed. Thanks for the help.

I own an HTC EVO Shift 4G which lists ram at 512MB on all the spec sheets I've read, yet any software I use (quadrant, etc) reports total ram at ~370MB.
