How much would you pay for the ZenWatch 2?

I paid $179 for mine, so depending on how much slimmer the Zenwatch 2 is, I might shell out $250.

$250 is pretty reasonable. Maybe $300 depending on other factors.

Hopefully around the same as the original. There wasn't much of a difference in the two generations that would mean a higher price point. I just hope there is more to the second generation that ASUS is hiding.

Zenwatch 2 Preorder has started and lists as $129. I can't believe it: WEARABLE

At this price maybe I'll buy a silver one as I await black.

Edit: I can't create an account to begin ordering. So much for my impulse purchase!

I like the gun metal gray with the gun metal gray strap. Too bad that version is $70 more, and more than I'm looking to spend on a SmartWatch.

I don't think I'm willing to pay $199 for a smart watch that doesn't seem to be a significant step up from previous generation of smart watches in technology, components, or screen area. Guess I'll have to put in some more thought into if I want the Zenwatch 2 (not crazy about all the black unused area around the screen - as we've seen in pictures - anyone else think they should have made the screen stretch to the edges of the watch?, and it lacks a basic heart rate monitor - not that I have need of or would ever use one), a first gen moto 360 (not crazy about the slow TI OMAP 3 and lack of independent wifi), or wait and see what else is coming out in the near future...

That's why, for me, the ZenWatch 2 is the most appealing of this year's new watch crop. All of them have variations with higher and higher prices. At least this watch starts at under a half of the others.

Anyone with a Zenwatch replace the band for it? That seems like a cheaper way to get a steel band as opposed to paying $70 in upgrade charges for the official steel band.

This one for example would probably go well with the gunmetal Zenwatch 2:

This one would probably work well with the silver/chrome Zenwatch 2:
Amazon.com: Ritche 22mm Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch Band Strap Straight End Solid Links Color Silver: Watches

Anyone know a reason why those wouldn't work as a swap-able band for the Zenwatch 2?

I own a moto 360 and ordered this watch. Should be arriving tomorrow. I too will begin the hunt for other bands to fit on it. Picked up the 129 rubber version from best buy on eBay. No shipping, no taxes, and 2 percent ebay cash back! Anyways, I'll post if I find good looking straps that work well. On that topic, I made a thread in the general wear forum, but has anybody seen a way to retrofit an apple watch band onto regular watches? I love the loop mesh bands and I think it might look great with this watch or the moto 360 if someone knew if it was possible. If nobody does, I might order one of the knock off a for 25 and try it myself.

Any standard 22mm watch band will work. Just be wary if you have a large wrist, because cheap watchbands like that are often a little smaller than the band that comes with the watch. Also, they may not come with the 22mm pins and the pins on the stock wristband (at least the rubber one) are not compatible with standard bands because of the little quick release knobs.
