How often do you soft reset?

How often do you reset your Droid?

I'd like to say "never". but, that's not really true. The option on the poll that had the highest option is "more than 100 hours". So, I chose that.

I do a reboot about once a month.

Whenever I get a hankering for a thorough cleaning and break out the q-tips and cleaner. I do some cache cleaning, clean up browser history, delete old sms and email, delete dumb pictutes from gallery, uninstall apps that were downloaded hastily and now are unwanted.

After cleaning the device, the SD card and the cache it just makes sense to do a reset (NOT a battery pull) and get all cleaned up and refreshed.

by the way... best method for reboot (on Droid)... slide open keypad and press and hold control-alt-delete. NOTE: "control" is the arrow key to the left of the "z".

PS: compare that to my experience with Blackberry: 3-4 times a day.
I never knew about this Ctrl-alt-delete. My days of pulling the battery are OVER. Thanks!

Not nearly as often since 2.1, but it seems to act a little strange. Live wall paper will disappear, but that is my only real complaint.

I do once a day. I dont have to cause it has a better memory management, but its just a second nature to me coming from Windows/Palm.

I've had to reset mine a few times. Its been times that I've been stuck in 1x mode instead of 3G and a soft rest helped me get back to a good signal. Also there's been times where the keyboard won't light up at night.

To get 3G back just make a call. Shoot, you dont even have to call anyone. Just hit up your voicemail and once the call connects, just hang up.
I used to do this all the time when it used to happen to me.
Quick, easy, harmless fix.

Oh yeah and I never reboot my phone.
Unless I'm trying another ROM or trying to fix something (which is a lot right now, since I keep messing with stuff atm).
Otherwise, I only turn off my phone when the battery runs out :p

I reboot the phone all the damn time! lol But its only because I'm flashing all kinds of stuff...Not because of the phone slowing...

Ctrl-Alt-Delete? This isn't a Windows OS phone. Haha, does that "reboot" the phone?

I'll stick with power off and power on the phone.

I seem to find myself doing it once or twice a week; if it starts to get alittle slow, or apps don't want to shut down properly, or just generally not working the way I like it I'll do a powercycle of the phone and it will be back to normal.

I seem to have to do this more since the 2.1 update. I don't know.. I've been thinking about rooting again.

Speaking of cleaning out the phone... I was going through my SD card the other day and cleaning out all the unnecessary crap that is on it. I noticed an AWFUL lot of "diskcacheindex.." What are these files and are they OK to delete? There really is a LOT of them on my SD card at the moment.
