If you're talking about wiping the phone, a factory reset, you can't keep your data. There are backup tools. I'm pretty sure that device came with one. You can backup and restore after a factory reset. I'm really not sure if there's a way to return all settings to factory, apart from that.

If you have sync turned on in Accounts > Google, resetting the phone should allow you to set the phone up as soon as you've entered your Google account and logged in. That will restore the apps and the settings and data (game scores, etc.) for the apps. Contacts, if they're entered as Google contacts (not Phone, Device or SIM) will restore. (If not, export them, save the file off the phone, reset the phone, import them [and import them as Google contacts this time].) The pictures and videos will be at Google Photos and you can download any you need when you have no connection.
