I saw somewhere that it's better to keep battery charge somewhere between 40%-80% .But since there's only 40% space ,I keep it between 40% -100%.Does that affect battery health than having it at 40-80%?

To answer your question, there isn't a big difference from 80 to 100 percent, so no.

The Care and Feeding of Lithium Polymer Batteries. 40% to 100% is fine. Just don't store a battery long term at 100% charge without checking it periodically (monthly is more than enough) - the higher the state of charge, the faster the self discharge.

I have 11 year old batteries (if I lose an 11 year old phone, it's cheaper to replace than a new flagship, so if I might be in a situation where someone may "find" my phone [in my pocket] I'll carry the old one) that have always been charged to 100%, and have about 95% capacity now. If I live long enough I may have to replace them some day - but at almost 73, that's not too certain. (They should still have another 10-15 years of life left - I probably don't.)
