This is not for the faint of heart. If you have no idea what these settings are, then stop now and go play.

Step 1: Find your MSL code.
  1. Download CDMA Workshop 3.6.0 Demo
  2. Turn on USB Debugging, and connect your phone to your PC.
  3. Open Device Manager.
  4. Ports > LGE Android Platform USB Serial Port > Properties > Port Settings > Advanced > COM port number
  5. Change the value to a port number below 10. (demo restriction of CDMA Workshop)
  6. Run CDMA Workshop
  7. Select the proper port from (4). Hit "Connect."
  8. Under the "Security" tab, find "SPC/User Lock."
  9. Change the drop down menu to "LG method," and click "Read."
  10. Write down the number that appears in the box. This is your MSL code. Now close CDMA Workshop, we won't need it anymore.

Step 2: Make a nandroid backup of your current rom.

Step 3: Install the Stock Optimus S Rom...That's right...This rom is for the Optimus S. It'll be just fine so long as you don't install the stock recovery.
Stock S Rom
1) Extract the "BCDS-20110522-1551" file into the "nandroid" folder, under the "mem=477M" subfolder.
1a) For Clockwork Recovery, place the "BCDS-20110522-1551" file in /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup
2) Boot into recovery
3) Go into the "Backup/Restore" menu, and select "Restore"
4) Allow it to restore
5) Reboot! System should be stock

Step 4: Change the RTST & HTTPPD Proxy Settings
  1. Boot into the stock S rom
  2. Go to the phone dialer
  3. Dial: ##3282#
  4. Multimedia > Edit > Enter the MSL code from Step 1
  5. You will see RTST Proxy, HTTPPD Proxy
  6. Go nutz.
  7. When you are done the phone will automatically reboot.
  8. Verify that the settings stuck.

Step 5: Restore your nandroid backup of your original rom. The proxy settings will survive everything you can flash.

The default proxy settings are all 0 on the current Optimus V phone. Future releases might not be the same.
