how to access apps , no service

I have a lg Optimus S. I did a stupid after i changed services.
I reset to factory. I would like to use this as a MP3 player and camera.
I have Verizon phone for cell.

screen ask for sprint ID. i don't want to connect.
Am I stuck and have to get service?

If you have ZVD phone software, you can press "Menu" button and choose skip.

If you have previous versions, press and hold the Voice Dial/Command button (above the camera button) until the voice prompt comes up. Then release the button and say "Sprint ID". If it recognized your command as "Sprint ID" then select that option in the prompt. From Sprint ID you can choose a minimal ID.

If that doesn't work because of some network error, then root your phone and use titanium to remove Sprint ID or remove /system/app/W_Installer.apk by hand.
