Android Central Question

I have a Samsung Galaxy Prime phone with a black screen. The screen is unusable but the phone itself still makes noises and is recognizable by the computer via USB. I saw the post titled "A quick guide to accessing a locked phone with a cracked screen" on this forum and the information provided was very helpful except I had a question similar to another posed question which was whether or not the steps would work with a swipe lock as my phone did NOT have a passcode. I was not able to find whether or not there had been a resonse to this question on the post and was hoping to see if anyone had any suggestions with retreiving data from a black screen.

Yup, if it doesn't have a passcode and the screen is still responsive to touch, you can just unlock it that way and you should be able to see it in the USB connection. If the screen is not responsive, you could connect an USB mouse to unlock (just tap and hold the mouse and swipe, that should emulate your finger on the screen), disconnect the mouse, and connect to computer before the screen locks out again.

Since the Prime family doesn't support HDMI output, you can't mirror this to a TV or monitor that way.
