How to access Recent folder in Xperia Z5

Deleted photos from my Xperia Z5 were no longer seen in the album app. But when I used a photo editing app and searched to load a photo, there was "Recent" tab near the top of the menu. When I clicked it, I saw a lot of deleted photos there and surprisingly I can still load and edit those. That is really frustrating for me. How can I access and permanently delete them? (I disabled Google Photos app before. I re-enabled it and searched for recent folder but I can't find it. I also clear cache of Album app but I can't still delete them)

Have you checked the trash folder? Most gallery apps have a trash folder where items aren't deleted for 15, 30 sometimes 90 days. With both the Samsung Gallery and Google Photos this folder is located in the settings menu.
