Installed 4.3 on my Sprint HTC One earlier today. From my understanding, you can now add your own music to Highlights. The option is there when a Highlight is created, but when I choose "Select Music" it brings me to a menu with only four options (see attached):

I can't seem to find a way to search another folder in my phone. I've downloaded some songs from Google Music onto my phone, but how do I get it so that I can select one for Highlights? Or is there a specific folder I need to drop songs into when I connect it to my computer?

It gives the option for Tracks, Albums or Artists. Selecting any of those just resorts the list...

Anyone else have this issue adding their own music to Highlights?

If you go to your phone and open your music app.. Not Google music... You may notice that you have no music on your phones storage and this could be why you can't see any songs for your highlights... Google play music will not download songs to your music folder on your device even if you have purchased the music! I'm thinking that in order to get your music from Google into your phone you will need to move the files via USB connection to your computer.

Update : I was not able to find the Google music that I purchased on my storage card via USB connection, so, I'm thinking your Google purchased music is stored in the cloud...

i just learned today we now have this option. I'm glad they hooked us up... i recommend transferring music directly to your phone from your pc. For me, Every mp3 i have transferred to my phone is in the list when i choose 'select music'
