How to adjust picture file size? when email or text

Hi, guys
when I had iphone this procrdure was very simple , you select pic to email and phone had message to send original size or reduced , you select whatever you like and done.
I spent quite time on my N4 and dint find any solution accept keep sending original size photos 2~3 mb each what doesnt make sense ,
please advise good solution.

I don't think there's a built-in compression option. If you wanted to take an extra step, you could use an app like Photo Editor, which gives you a jpeg quality option when you save the image.

Hopefully Key Lime Pie will have the ability to automatically compress images and videos. My Email app crashes every time I try to attach a video file.

They probably won't make a compression tool. They want you to use google mail and or goovle drive to share large files. Trying to keep you and friends in their ecosystem. I tried sending a 15Mb picture using my yahoo but it won't allow me but with my Gmail it will. Yahoo has a 25Mb attachment limit.
