How to arange the application icons

Hi,
Is there any way to arrange the applications icons?
For instance, if i uninstalled an app. the place remains empty and cannot bring icons prom other pages to fill these empty places.
Every app page looks like Swiss cheese (in grid view)!
Pls. help !

take it youre using the stock launcher mate?
dont know if you can move icons on that but why not remove one from one page then add it to the "hole" and so on..

I presume you mean on the app menu not the homescreen (homescreen just press and hold then drag and drop).

You have 2 options
1. Manual.
Open the app drawer and press the menu button.
Select edit
Long press then drag and drop

2. Automatic
Open the app drawer and press the menu button
Select view type
Select alphabetical grid

Yep, the app drawer on touch wiz leaves holes

Apart from an uninstall, an app update can also result in a hole

What I do is move the page with hole to the end so my next installation goes into that space
