A long press on my Galaxy S7 brings up Google search. Can someone tell me how to set this action to a different function?

Thanks in advance for any input on this!

Welcome to the forums. Do you mean one of the capacitive keys next to the home button?

No. I mean the home button itself. If you long press home button (it is the only button on the front of the GS7). It's in the same place as the menu button of the iphone (which also in the only button on the front).

Long pressing this button on my SG7 brings up Google search. If you just click it once it activates where left off, or take you to your default screen.

It's the long press that I'm trying to figure out how to customize.

I think he's referring to the home button- here's how-
Settings/Applications/Default applications/Device assistance app/Device assistance app/

I have no other choice...just Google Now/search. Following the path above gives me the Google option or "none" and says with more assist apps installed, they will be included in the options to assign them to the long press of the home button.

Thanks - that worked on my s7 - I only had 2 choices Now or S-Voice - picked S-Voice so I can do voice commands by long press...
