How to avoid creating "Google Search" shortcuts on Google Chrome homepage?

Hy,

Recently, I've encountered when using the android version of Google Chrome that my recent google searches appear as shortcuts on the homepage, alongside other regularly visited pages. How can I prevent these Google Search icons from appearing? Whenever I remove them, they are there again the next time I refresh.

Welcome to Android Central! I was looking for a way to get rid of that, and am not sure it's possible on the Chrome homepage. One workaround is to open Chrome's settings, then Homepage, and select a custom homepage. If you just want the Google search page, enter Google.com there.
