HOW to back up tasks and contacts HTC Evo V 4g??

Really I can not find out how to do this. The phone has no sd card. I have downloaded the sync driver. I copied the data folders but nothing says tasks or contacts. Does sync just take info from computer to phone? :-\WTF????

You need Outlook installed on your computer to have HTC Sync backup people and calendar events.
