how to boot into hboot without pulling the battery

is there another way to get to hboot with out pulling the battery and then vol down power botton... maybe like an app? or some setting? on the htc evo 3d thanks

nope, no app or setting.

After you have root and custom recovery, you can reboot into recovery with an app, or adb comand.

Yes,

Simply go to...

1. Settings -> Power -> Disable Fast Boot.
2. Hold power button on phone until shutdown menu appears.
3. Select shutdown.
4. When phone is powered down hold "Volume Down" and then press the power button (while still holding Vol down). Keep the Vol Down pressed until HBoot appears.


Thats how I do. Maybe an app on market, I dont know.



Also... do you mean recovery or hboot?

Slightly off topic but related...

I couldn't tell from the OP if he was rooted or not.

If you are rooted you can use Quick Boot to boot directly into recovery.
 
i am rooted and really was for both and both answers were answered haha thank you!

btw i discovered that i could go to recovery from rom manager even if i have twrp.
