I just installed the update-cm-7.0.3-encore-signed.zip stable onto my microsd card and it load up cm7 fine on my nook but i am having some issue with installing android marketplace. I follow the instruction on Nook Color CM7 Install Tutorial and Review - Android 2.3 GingerBread on Nook Color

that told me to download the Android apps pack and made nook to into recoverymode by holding the power and n button. However, I can't seems to do it. I even try to boot into recovery mode by choose that option in rom manager but I stil can't boot into recovery nor get marketplace to work. Any advise?

This method below SHOULD allow the system to install the .zip file. At least I can confirm that it does for me as I just did it.

The way I do it is, with the NC off, hold both the power and home (n) buttons and keep holding them while I count to 6. The amount of time it takes for me, I could also count to 2 once the initial message appears on the screen. Have you modified your boot method in ANY way different from the link you posted?

don't use 7.03. It has a known bug concerning the market. Use 7.02 instead

Finally got it to work, it appear I didn;t hold it for long enough. Btw, ATM, is cm7 better or the honeycomb?

Cm7 is definitely better right now due to the lack of honeycomb source... in honeycomb, games are laggy and there are random stutters and lags that can't yet be explained...
But on the other side of that coin, honeycomb is cool as hell :)

From my experience (all of 24 hours) HC looks fantastic and CM7 runs fantastic. Since I use LauncherPro Plus anyway, I prefer CM7. I spent hours combing forums trying to make Kindle work on HC and couldn't. CM7 for the win. I gave HC another shot this morning and accidentally wiped my CM7 backup. Facepalm, much? Currently in the process of rooting and reinstalling CM7. BLAAAAAARG sometimes I really hate that I'm so willing to tinker. IT TAKES SO MUCH DAMN TIME. /rant

I'm having a similar issue. I'm trying to update my CM7, installed to emmc. I don't want to reformat my SD card, so I am trying to boot into recovery using ROM Manager. However, when I tell it to reboot into recovery, it only performs a standard reboot. Any ideas?

I'm guessing it's a bug. Back up your sd and format it, it's quite painless. Or, buy a cheap one online and use that.
