How to cancel a Samsung Trade in if I have the new device in possession

I ordered a Galaxy Watch 5 for a friend and wanted to trade in my Galaxy 4, but in the end, after opening the box, he decided that he did not really like the new watch.

Can I still send the Watch 5 back, and tell them I want to cancel the trade-in because I changed my mind? If yes what would the next steps be?
