How to change desk icons on phone??

Company: MetroPCS

I was wondering if you could change the bottom four desk icons at the bottom. They are phone, contacts, messaging, and applications. I merely want to change the messaging to GO SMS PRO because it's a great deal better.

Please let me know if this is possible.
If not, please let me know if something can be done. I hate having both on the screen and it's just confusing and slightly annoying to see the both.

Long press on which ever icon you want to change... the middle/app drawer icon cannot be changed... or change launchers. Some good ones are Launcher Pro Plus, ADW Ex & Go Launcher.
