How to check the ESN?

Buying a RAZR (used) from an individual, how would you check the ESN?

The battery door does not open so how do you look for the ESN?

For the sake if this argument, lets say the box (the the ESN) is missing, its just the phone.......

Also it is listed on the memory card door (but of course it is really small and hard to see).

Does the fone have the plastic that was on the back of the Razr? Cus that had it.

Take the phone into the store with the seller.
If there is *ANY* lag between when you buy and when you activate, the old owner can still have the phone flagged as lost/stolen. BTDT.
