Obviously I can't just wash it under a tap.. but there are plenty of little grooves that sweat will build up in.. what's the best way to clean this?

Whatever, you do, don't spray anything on it. I would just take a damp cloth, and you can aid a touch of dishwashing liqiud. This is not a big deal, just a few wipes. But, a moe hill can be turned into a mountain if you do something and get water on the inside.. Just my two cents..

I have the orange gear and I've used soap and water mixture but the dye from from black shirt still won't come off :'(
I've contacted Samsung and all they is to keep trying with the soap and water!! I really like want to keep it but its frustrating that I can't get it clean. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Yeah they have told me the same thing and will not commit to any other cleaning method besides soap and water. I thought of using some kind of automotive leather or rubber cleaner and conditioner on it. I have also heard of people using the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser too.

Damp cloth with mild-soap (dish washing soap) works for me however, I have a black GG and cant see the grittiness. ;)

Yeah I tried that too along with toothpaste, baking soda/water mixture, screen cleaning wipes recommended by zmann and nothing has worked. I'm going to try
Rit Dye Remover or this:

I just returned it and got a black one instead as I see the orange being a continuous issue as far as keeping clean. I also found that it was starting to crack by the screws in 2 different areas.

I am obsessed with keeping my Note 2 and GG clean. The Best Buy rep helped put on the screen protector on my GG, and simply used rubbing alcohol. Since it dries very quickly, you can spray it on the face of the gear and all around it, just dry it with a cloth or soft paper towel. It only costs a dollar for a 12 fl oz of rubbing alcohol, the spray spritz bottle was also a dollar at the local dollar store. Easy quick and safe. :)

Orange Gear was a terrible choice. Dingy after a few weeks. Tried absolutely everything...magic eraser, pencil eraser, alcohol, soap, wipes, goo gone, toothpaste, baking soda, undu, acetone. The Orange is impervious to cleaning. Unless you got the lighter colored bands you don't understand the situation. I love the watch except for this.

Hi, Did you find out how to clean it? I have a white strap....went pink then purpley around the edges and the camera...it is unwearable. Any suggestions?

Well, I have a black strap and have had no discolouration. For what it's worth, every morning I wipe it down with an antibacterial wipe, then a damp cloth, then a dry cloth.
