I want to clear my system cache in the recovery menu, how do you get there? I'm used to doing it on an HTC.

I'm actually trying to do it on the lg g4, I'm just used to the HTC way and it's differentPutting wiping cache partition htc in Google comes up with several options depending on model and carrier.

I can't get the second method to work.

Apparently not, there is no home button on the g4 startupSurely that's how you'd boot into Recovery on a Samsung? How on earth could that be done on the G4?
I wonder whether the author of the piece has tried booting into Recovery on a G4.

I know this is a bit of an old thread, but I found a way to clear system cache, at least on Verizon. With the phone off, I pressed and held the power and volume down buttons. I didn't let off like other instructions said, just held them down until it booted into the recovery screen. It had a cache wipe option right next to the factory reset button.
