How to connect Dualshock 4 to Pixel 3 with wire?

I want to have a wired connection from my dualshock 4 to my pixel 3 due to Bluetooth being too laggy. I've seen videos of people doing this with older androids but nothing with USB c. Is there a way to do this? When I try it just charges the controller.
