how to connect external hard drive

Does exist a way to connect my 2,5" hdd to asus fhd10 me302c? I tried more otg cables, need to find original one from asus. But that one is unreachable from any source. Any wise advice? Thx peter

I think the first thing to consider is that you won't have sufficient power run an external 2.5" HD unless it has its own external power supply. This connection is really meant for very low power requiring items such as a flash memory stick. Also, unless you are an experienced Android user, you probably don't want to mess around with trying to root your device.
