How to Convert Video for Droid?

Doubletwist is rumored to handle conversion to your mobile device automatically. I've been playing with Salling Media Sync, so can't speak for Doubletwist working or not when it comes to conversion as part of the copy.

Doubletwist works, I can confirm that. However, it does not let you customize the resolution. Some of the TV shows I want to watch are not in widescreen format, so I like to adjust the aspect ratio (from 1.33 to 1.77) so it takes up the entire screen on my Droid. There is minimal distortion and I like it better when the video fills the entire screen. For that, I have been using Handbrake, setting 850x480. Using Act 1 video player it seems to ONLY BE ABLE TO PLAY the FFMpeg codec. x264 and XviD do NOT work. I think they MAY work using the stock player. I will try when I get home from class and post.

I've been using handbrake as well using the iphone + ipod touch preset, and changing the resolution to strict. I want my aspect ratios to be the same :D

So I have a question. Can someone help me out cause I must be overlooking something. I'm a pretty tech savvy guy and I'm not understanding this, which is ironic because this is the same way I had to get videos on my storm. I have handbrake, I use the iphone preset. I am using double twist but it won't let me drag and drop the videos. Photos and music work seamlessly but videos, nothing. I'm doing the step by step stuff too. I just don't know what I'm missing.

EDIT-----
hahahaha wow, I have no clue what I did, but after poster I tried again and it worked. Sorry for asking then looking like a dumbass but it all worked out :D

Doubletwist did not work for converting for me I downloaded I believe its called Prism Converter very easy to use...one tip I found was don't use the "iphone" settings use higher bitrate there was a noticeable difference in quality on my Droid...remember the Droid is capable of 720p

I have been fighting this video stuff just the same. I have ripped down all my movies using Ripit and tried using Handbrake and Toast. I have ran into the same issues with Handbrake since the update. It will only rip to mpv format. The Droid says no dice. So I have tried to rip with Toast, I got Then Hangover @ 640x360 mpeg-4, channel 2 and total bit of 1228. Works great no issues, I just tried the same settings on another movie and it failed. Any suggestions?
