How to copy a photo from the Samsung smart phone to a desktop computer?

I would like to be able to photograph a book page with the Samsung and copy it to an OCR app on my computer.

To copy a photo you can do this by connecting the phone to computer with cable transfer, if you have google back up on and sync then log into your computer same Gmail account and can find in Google photos.
