Is it not the same way as on the galaxy phones. This is how I do it on the galaxy s4:
Find the text you want to copy.
Press and hold your finger on part of the text.
The text should then highlight with two bars either side of it.
Move the bars so only the text you want is highlighted.
You should already have your Copy and Paste buttons on the screen at this point so click on the Copy one.
Now go to where you want to past the text into.
Press and hold your finger down where you want the text pasted.
The Copy and Paste buttons should appear.
Select Paste and hey presto!

Apologies if this is all different on the Note 2.

That's exactly how it works on the Note 2 as well. I use it on mine all the time. Good instruction.

If you are using the stock Samsung keyboard, long press the mic button and select the clipboard icon.

You can also access it from s Note via the insert button

I usually access it in the stock browser (using the stock Samsung keyboard) by long pressing the address bar (where you type a URL) and if there's something in the clipboard, the options for paste or clipboard pop up. From there you can clear the entire clipboard via the "Clear" option or delete individual items by long pressing them and choosing delete.

Yep that worked. Thank you again! !

When I was in the RAF, we had a survival manual with careful, step-by-step instructions for roasting a rabbit. Not one bloody word about how to catch the rabbit. Reminds me of all the instructions I see on copy/paste with Android. Every one has instructions such as, "make sure the copy and paste buttons are visible." No one tells us where the bloody copy and paste buttons ARE.

matt_h2, these instructions are pretty useless for those of who us who have no idea where to find the Copy and Paste buttons, what they look like, etc.
