Android Central Question

Dear Android Central,

When I woke up this morning, I could no longer copy web addresses in the Google browser on Android. This basic feature has been removed. What the hell! Likewise, I could no longer view websites as if on a PC. That basic feature has also been removed.

Dumbing down and primitivization of previously perfectly usable tech is taking place at a frightening rate.

Please help me get any use out of my phone for browsing: What apps or alternative browsers are there, that allow copying of links and viewing webpages as if on PC?

Otherwise I must stop using the phone as a work and research tool.

Thanks in advance.

In Chrome? If I tap in the address bar it acts as though it's a blank tab and has a blank address bar, but it drops the address below that bar and gives options for copying and sharing the address. It is a bit of an odd implementation, but that's how it's working on my Pixel 4a 5G.

Welcome to Android Central! In Chrome, another easy way to copy the URL is to tap the Menu button, then Share, then Copy Link.

I certainly wouldn't call this "dumbing down and primitivization.":-\
