How to customize contact ringtones on an Intercept???

I can't figure out how to change ringtones on my contacts. I tried to go into "edit contacts" and there is no option to customize ringtone. I used to have a Hero and it was simple to customize. Anybody with an Intercept figure this out??

Make sure your contacts are stored in the phone, and not only synced from your gmail account. I had a heck of a time figuring it out. You can only customize ringtones from local contacts (you can backup your contacts to the sd card, and import them again to the phone itself as a quick fix)
