How to customize or remove the Google search bar from home screen

I have a Blu C5L I'm trying to either remove the Google search bar from the home screen or customize it... Is that possible?

Or try 3rd party launcher like nova if you cant interact with it

Welcome to Android Central! Some stock launchers allow the user to remove the Google search bar widget, but most don't. If nothing happens when you long-press the widget, then you'll have to use a 3rd party launcher as mustang7757 suggested.

Another possibility would be to long-press any empty part of the homescreen, then tap the Home Screen Settings option, and see if there's an option there to hide the Google search bar.
