How to delete Gear vr by oculus

[Android Central Question]

How do I delete the Gear VR by Oculus. It constantly pops up and freezes my screen. I have attempted to disable, force stop, downloaded a app to delete it but to no avail.

It pops up constantly and makes my screen go black...screen comes back on but is a constant disruption. Also my phone won't charge by cable I have had to purchase a battery wireless board to charge it. I have attempted to clean the port.....also battery on phone drains rappidly when the phone has a hissy fit anf the VR thing keeps popping up....not sure if the two things are connected...driving me insane...

Please please any help would be appreciated.

They're probably connected in that what's causing the battery drain is also causing the app to pop up. And it might be related to the "not charging" problem. Get the phone fixed, then we can go further. (And please join the Android Central community, so you won't have to repeat all this in another thread.)
