How to delete history/contact logs in text message

This really sucks not being able to easily maintain phone logs using Verizon. If I had known that I never would have picked Verizon over ATT.

Have you found any app that you can use to delete phone and message logs selectively when using Verizon.

This worked perfectly.
go to settings, then go to applications, then logsprovider, press delete data button.
So anyone trying to delete logs from their samsung mini s 3, use this method
Thank you to the person who had this up NIck Shirling.

Go to your primary email account set up on your Note3, i.e. like "Gmail.com" and sign in. Go to the Contacts tab at your email account. Go through your contact lists, then delete the ones not wanted. Go back to the Note3 and sync your phone with the email account. That is under More Apps/Settings/Google/then at the bottom is Sync All. That will update the contacts in the messaging contacts log.

This is the fastest, most efficient way to handle this situation...In my Galaxy SCH-1535 it is called "LOGS PROVIDER"

With a Galaxy S4, go to settings, application manager and then select "All" from the top, rather than "downloaded" or "running". Find an app called "LogApp" - delete cache and then disable. It will delete the email log history in the messages section.

Perhaps you're over complicating things:
- open the Phone (aka Dialer) application
- select the 'Recent' tab (at the top)
- press the Menu button (the lighted button to the left of the physical Home button)
- select 'View'
When the menu comes up choose whatever content you want to see.

Hello Friends, In these days Samsung Galaxy is a hot topic. And persons are searching, the answers of Samsung Galaxy problems. Before some days my friends were saying to me that we need an answer of How To Permanently Delete Text Messages On Samsung Galaxy? So I was thinking that this is also a problem of Samsung Galaxy users. So here are some solution of this problem.
1. Download and install the software.
2. After this Connect your smartphone to the computer with a USB.
3. Open the installed software
4. Choose the method of deleting you want to use.
5. Select the messages you want to delete.
6. Press the erase all button to start deleting your unwanted messages
I hope this now you can delete unwanted messages within a minute.

Unfortunately, this does not delete an email address that I sent a text to. It doesn't show up on the list of "all calls and messages," but it is still there when clicking the icon of the head in messaging. How do I get rid of that one?

Thanks...

When you go through text message and you click on button to bring up contacts, there is couple choices (groups, contacts, favorites & logs) you can choose. Under logs, how to you delete the information in logs section????? It appears to only go back a few days, but can't find option to erase logs. If you check box it just adds that person to your send to box. I also tried deleting history for phone calls, but its still there. Any help would be great!!! Thank you.

Go to phone icon. Click on recent. Hit bottom left menu button on the phone and select view. You can pick all recent including messages and then you can select all or specifics and delete it.

Just save that number in your contacts.
Then open your contacts list and tab that number, for which you want to delete all history.
Then press left key or menu key on your android phone, then go to history. That will show all call or message history. Then again press left key or menu key and select delete.
Now you can delete all logging history against that number.
I have tried. And work been successful.
