how to delete pre installed music?

Astro is great, but ES File Explorer is free. If you use either of these apps, you will navigate to the /emmc/ folder to access the contents of internal storage.

To access internal storage via your computer, connect the Incredible with the USB cable, and select disk drive.

So there's no easy way to delete a music file? I can't believe you can't pull up the menu when listening to something and deleting it. What a hassle.

EDIT: Was referring to the EVO since it looks like it has the same issue.

Assuming we're talking about 'Music', the media player that came pre-installed on the Incredible:

Open the Music app.
Tap the three "lines" left of the Back/Play/Forward buttons
You'll see the artists listed out line by line.
Tap and hold the name of the artist you want to delete
A message box pops up, where you can tap 'Delete'

This also works with individual songs if you tap the artist name once, and then tap and hold the name of the song you wish to delete.
