How to disable chat heads without disabling all notifications

Hello! I have been using a samsung a50, android 9 pie with nova launcher for a couple of weeks, and just yesterday annoying chat heads like in messenger have started to appear on screen from other messengers (whatsapp, telegram). Is there a way to disable them other than through system notification settings, as doing this seems to remove any and all notifications from those apps entirely

Yup, just go to the Advanced Feature section of your Phone's Settings and select Smart Pop-up view. Turn it off for all apps or for the ones you don't want that to happen (this is separate from native 'chat heads' like FB Messenger's; it's Samsung's implementation and it 'intercepts' normal notifications and displays them as floating bubbles instead).
