I have a Nexus 7 on 4.1 and I keep getting OTA update prompts. Does anyone know how to disable these annoying nags?

Hmm, I'm not sure since I updated first, then unlocked the bootloader then rooted. But even if you do lose root, you can re-root no problem since your bootloader is unlocked already.

If you have CWM installed, you can't OTA, you have to go to stock recovery first, then OTA then go back to CWM

Install root keeper to protect and restore root when you do ota.. https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...jectvoodoo.otarootkeeper&hl=en&token=094U_Whp

open root keeper and click protect... it will protect by backing up the root.

Do OTA update... if root is gone open root keeper and restore root...

woala its back... you will have to give super user permission and save permission when prompted.

you are not asking the right question... question should be How to protect root from OTA? Enjoy your Nexus :-)

I accepted the update and now have Jelly Bean 4.1.1. I didn't lose any apps or data and then rooted the device again. Thanks to everyone for the advice.
